James Caldwell created this video to raise awareness of the importance of students standing up for students who are discriminated against or otherwise mistreated. It also stresses the importance of reporting peer mistreatment to caring adults at school. The students in the video are leaders from each of our six high schools. They are called “Student Ambassadors” and help oversee bullying prevention on their campuses.
Be The Change
Written by Stacy Caldwell and part of the Safe and Healthy Schools Bullying Prevention Training.
The phrase “Be the Change” was taken from the Ghandi quote “be the change you wish to see in the world." In music class, Stacy often tries to incorporate character education and bullying prevention into her daily lessons. Students are challenged to think about ways they can be of service to others. There’s a specific focus on being a positive bystander and practicing the golden rule.
